As a consequence, the prevalence of recent HIV infection was 12.39% (61/492), (95% CI 9.61–15.63) or 11.58% (57/492), (95% CI 8.89–14.74), as defined by the BED-CEIA assay and CD4 counts greater than 200 cells/μl or BED-CEIA and CD4 counts greater than 200 cells/μl and VL greater than 400 copies/mL respectively. This evidence concerns the gene MLC1 and HIV infectious disease.
