Based on these annotation analyses, we discovered that REGγ is linked to large numbers of cancer related genes, including Myc & RAN in oncogenic pathway, BUB3 in spindle check-point function, BTG2 in cell cycle transition, DDB1 in DNA damage repair, DAPK2 in programmed cell death, in addition to genes in the p53 pathway like PTEN. The gene discussed is PTEN; the disease is cancer.
