CXCL8 and multiple sclerosis: MIP-1b (CCL4), IL-8 (CXCL8), and MCP-1 (CCL2) have all been identified as pro-inflammatory chemokines and can induce the migration of leukocytes to a desired site and have also been implicated in other inflammatory diseases such as multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, and HIV [18], [19].
