In contrast, only BCP-ALL cell lines displayed significantly higher levels of H3K4me3 near the breakpoint hotspot within the second exon of BTG1. H3K9/14 acetylation levels were found to significantly differ at the proximal promoter region between B- and T-lineage cells, but not at the body of the BTG1 gene (Figure 4C). Here, BTG1 is linked to acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
