IL33 and atopic conjunctivitis: found that IL-33 significantly increases the capacity of T cells to produce Th2-type cytokines, increases the infiltration of cervical lymph nodes by eosinophils and Th2 cells, and that conjunctival tissues constitutively express biologically active IL-33, suggesting that IL-33 might play a crucial role in the induction and augmentation of allergic conjunctivitis.
