A recent paper analysing ROCK1 and ROCK2 function in PC3 prostate cancer cells reported that knockdown of either isoform had no significant effect on migration speed, but that knockdown of ROCK2 (but not ROCK1) resulted in decreased persistence in a chemotaxis assay, indicating a role for ROCK2 in directional migration in PC3 cells [40]. Here, ROCK1 is linked to prostate carcinoma.
