TGFB1 and pancreatic neoplasm: Although losartan, an angiotensin II type 1 receptor antagonist, has been successfully utilized to inhibit the expression and activation of TGFβ1 in several animal models and in humans [24], [36], [37], [38], [39], we wanted to validate that TGFβ1 expression and downstream activation of TGFβ1 response genes were effectively inhibited by losartan in our model of pancreatic cancer.
