Immunohistochemical analysis of 1882 tumours from nine independent CRC cohorts revealed that SATB2 was expressed in 85% of all tumours, suggesting the utility of SATB2 as a diagnostic marker for CRC, particularly when used in combination with cytokeratin 20 (CK20) (Magnusson et al, 2011). This evidence concerns the gene KRT20 and neoplasm.
