In recent genome-wide association studies, several HLA and non-HLA genes have been associated with the disease, with the HLA-class II genes, particularly those of the HLA-DR15 haplotype (HLA-DQB1*0602- HLA-DQA1*0102; HLA-DRB1*1501; HLA-DRB5*0101) bearing the strongest association to MS [9,10]. Here, HLA-DRB5 is linked to myeloid sarcoma.
