We found that the levels of serum IFN-γ and IL-6 in CHC patients were significantly lower than those in SR-HCV, supporting the notion that proinflammatory cytokines, such as IFN-γ and IL-6, are not only important factors for the clearance of infected HCV, but also for liver injury [29–31]. This evidence concerns the gene IL6 and cryohydrocytosis.
