Our results are in agreement with those reported by Freitas et al. (2008), who did not find any association between the AGTR1 c.1080*86A>C polymorphism and the increased risk of CAD, also in the context of dislipidemia, defined as total cholesterol ≥200 mg/dl, TG ≥150 mg/dl, LDL cholesterol ≥130 mg/dl and HDL cholesterol ≥40 mg/dl. This evidence concerns the gene AGTR1 and coronary artery disorder.
