Castro et al. (2005) described in the American Society Hematology Congress [28] a decrease in BCL2 expression and an increase in BCL-XL, BCLW, A1, MCL1 and cflip expression in CML and they also demonstrated that this profile of expression was correlated with CML progression. The gene discussed is BCL2; the disease is chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive.
