Evaluating the GRPR expression distribution among surgical cancer-free controls by benign diagnosis, we observed a trend towards a significant association (p = 0.065, Fisher's exact test) with deviations from the average 38% GRPR positive frequency being most apparent for diagnoses of alpha-1 trypsin deficiency (1 of 11 subjects were GRPR positive) and granuloma (9 of 12 subjects were GRPR positive). This evidence concerns the gene GRPR and cancer.
