The majority of BRCA1-related tumors are basallike by microarray analysis [12, 17], and sporadic basal-like breast cancers have been associated with “BRCAness,” which is characterized by high tumor grade, lymphocytic infiltrate, pushing margins, ER and HER2 negativity, association with TP53 mutations, c-myc amplification, and multiple chromosome abnormalities including X-chromosome isodisomy [18]. This evidence concerns the gene BRCA1 and breast carcinoma.
