In comparison to normal tissues or tumor stroma showing no or only baseline ephrin-B2 staining, malignant tumor cells characterized by their irregular cell shape (e.g. colon and lung) and aberrantly enlarged (e.g. colon, lung and prostate) or dense (e.g. breast) nucleoli had distinctively higher ephrin-B2 staining. The gene discussed is EFNB2; the disease is neoplasm.
