While we were preparing the present study, a meta-analysis for this same polymorphism was published by Zhang et al. Their study included 8 papers with 2584 cases and 3234 controls, and they found an association between hOGG1 Ser326Cys polymorphism and prostate cancer in an African-Caucasian-mixed population. This evidence concerns the gene OGG1 and Familial prostate cancer.
