Some of these plots also show that the genetic regulation of gene expression is sometimes even more complicated than what we have described here: some genes can have multiple cis-eQTL that were either shared or specific to the tissues, e.g, the association of MTMR3 gene that was associated with lung cancer [31], Nephrophaty [32], and inflammatory bowel disease [33], [34] (Figure S17).
