The extent of inhibition of histone H4 acteylation concorded with the decrease of IFN-γ-regulated CIITA mRNA after parasitic infection, as observed herein by microarray analyses (IFN-γ-induced CIITA mRNA: 32.04 in non-infected MΦ vs. 3.17 in Toxoplasma-infected MΦ, see Table S1), or as previously shown by northern blotting [16]. This evidence concerns the gene CIITA and parasitic infectious disease.
