The anticancer functions of angiostatin have been studied in several cancer types such as lung cancer, brain cancer, colon cancer, breast cancer, etc. With successful completion of PhaseI/II clinical trials of angiostatin for patients with progressive metastatic cancer and non-small-cell lung cancer, the results from phase III clinical trials of angiostatin are awaited in anticipation that the study would be completed by June 2012 as scheduled. This evidence concerns the gene PLG and lung carcinoma.
