IGFBP3 and cancer: To validate this results, we assessed the modulation of ICAM1 (Brake et al. 2006), NQO1 (Palming et al. 2007), IGFBP3 (Chan et al. 2005), and THBS1 (Varma et al. 2008) by POPs because, in addition to their role in cell adhesion, xenobiotic metabolism, angiogenesis, and cancer, these genes were reported to be related to adiposity, insulin resistance, and inflammation.
