CTSB and choriocarcinoma: Loss of the 8p23.3p12 region, previously reported in primary choriocarcinoma [39], [40], harbored (i) the CTSB gene, a cathepsin implicated in invasion and metastasis and (ii) DLC1 and TUSC3, two tumor suppressor genes that are expressed in the placenta, and often deleted in many cancers.
