Loss of the 8p23.3p12 region, previously reported in primary choriocarcinoma [39], [40], harbored (i) the CTSB gene, a cathepsin implicated in invasion and metastasis and (ii) DLC1 and TUSC3, two tumor suppressor genes that are expressed in the placenta, and often deleted in many cancers. Here, TUSC3 is linked to choriocarcinoma.
