It has been reported that upregulation of annexin A3 (ANXA3), a member of a family of calcium- and phospholipid-binding proteins, which has been related to cancer metastasis via promoting angiogenesis, was significantly associated with advanced clinical stage, lymph node metastasis, increased relapse rate, and decreased overall survival in lung adenocarcinoma, as demonstrated by 2D-DIGE, MS, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry [36]. Here, ANXA3 is linked to lung adenocarcinoma.
