IGF1 and colorectal cancer: In particular, participants with high 25(OH)D and high C-peptide or high molar IGF-1/IGFBP-3 ratio did not have a significantly increased risk of colorectal cancer whereas those with a combination of low 25(OH)D and high C-peptide or high molar IGF-1/IGFBP-3 ratio had an about 2 fold increased risk of developing colorectal cancer when compared to participants with high 25(OH)D and low C-peptide and low molar IGF-1/IGFBP-3 ratio.
