In preclinical research, 99mTc-HYNIC-annexin V imaging has been used to evaluate cardiovascular models (e.g. heart transplant rejection, myocarditis and mural thrombus), oncology models (e.g. cyclophosphamide induced intramedullary and splenic apoptosis in lymphoma), neurology models (e.g. neonatal brain ischemia), inflammatory/infectious models (e.g. fulminant hepatitis, subacute and acute infection) and immune models (e.g. rheumatoid arthritis treated by corticosteroids). This evidence concerns the gene ANXA5 and lymphoma.
