In the present study, we have investigated whether anti-CCL5 antibodies could potentiate a mPDGFRβ-directed approach, targeting this receptor being a strategy currently tested in the clinic (through compounds such as Imatinib, Nilotinib or Sunitinib) for the treatment of various oncological indications including colorectal carcinoma (melanoma, sarcoma, breast, lung and prostate cancer [35]). This evidence concerns the gene CCL5 and prostate carcinoma.
