In our analysis of the interval covering the SPEC2, PDZ-GEF2 and ACSL6 genes (about 800 kb), where we reported a long-range haplotype association with schizophrenia [9], 69 of the 145 markers have a p value≤0.05 for numCIG, far in excess of chance expectations. The gene discussed is CDC42SE2; the disease is schizophrenia.
