As previously described in the results, the effects of MA and MA128 on leukocyte subsets in lungs and BALF included marked changes in the numbers of CD4+ helper T cells, Gr-1+CD11b+ myeloid suppressor cells, CD3−CCR3+ eosinophils, CD4+CD25+-activated T cells, and B220+CD23+-activated B cells in a mouse model of asthma compared to control group (Table 2), and the deficits in CD3−CCR3+ eosinophils were accompanied by concurrent decreases in eosinophils in BALF cytospin (Figure 4(d)).
