Although Day-4 DCs generally expressed lower levels of maturation markers (i.e. CD80 and CD40), and adhesion (ICAM-1) or migration molecules (CCR7) after maturation than Day-7 DCs, this did not affect their ability to stimulate potent ovarian-specific responses in the T cells derived from healthy volunteers and ovarian cancer patients. The gene discussed is CD80; the disease is ovarian cancer.
