In 2008, Contessa and colleagues reported that inhibition of N-linked glycosylation reduced RTK (i.e. EGFR, ErbB2, ErbB3 and IGF-IR) signaling through AKT and radiosensitized tumor cells in glioma and pancreatic adenocarcinoma cell lines. This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and pancreatic adenocarcinoma.
