Hypermethylation of the CCND2 promoter is significantly higher in prostate cancers compared to normal prostate tissues (32%, 6% resp.; P = 0.004), and there are statistically significant concordances between methylation of CCND2 and the methylation of RARβ, GSTP1, CDH13, RASSF1A, and APC genes [48]. Here, GSTP1 is linked to prostate carcinoma.
