An elevated mGPS was associated with a greater proportion of patients with poorer performance status (P<0.05), advanced tumour stage (P<0.001), increased tumour size (P<0.001) and increased Fuhrman grade (P⩽0.001), presence of necrosis (P⩽0.001) and increased C-reactive protein concentration (P<0.001).
