ACSL5(SI) was significantly lower in SLE patients than in controls (median (range); CTL = 5.1 (2.5–6.8) vs. SLE = 1.9 (1.2–3.4), P = 1.8×10−5), suggesting an enhanced transcription of ACSL5 in SLE patients that was close to maximum state of provoked activation. The gene discussed is ACSL5; the disease is systemic lupus erythematosus.
