IGHE and food allergy: In the food allergy model used in this study, when ovalbumin-sensitized mice were given OVA (antigen) in the diet, several signs of food allergy were observed, including increased serum antiovalbumin IgG1 and IgE and marked histological findings of intestinal inflammation (mucus hypersecretion, eosinophil infiltration, Paneth cell degranulation, and edema) [17].
