We previously reported that VEGF and interleukin-6 (IL-6) are involved in the pathogenesis of SRD associated with CRVO [6], while Park et al. found that the aqueous humor level of VEGF was higher in patients with branch retinal vein occlusion (BRVO) and SRD than in those with BRVO and CME [7]. The gene discussed is VEGFA; the disease is dopa-responsive dystonia due to sepiapterin reductase deficiency.
