Met proto-oncogene (MET), a hepatocyte growth factor receptor (HGFR) that has been suggested to play an important role in the development of various epithelial and nonepithelial tumors, was found to be significantly over-expressed in our study of bladder cancer, consistent with previous reports on bladder cancers [63], haematopoietic malignancies [64], and renal cell carcinomas [65]. Here, MET is linked to hereditary clear cell renal cell carcinoma.
