Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the FCN2 gene had been studied in different populations and was demonstrated that SNPs at positions -986G>A, -602G>A and -4A>G in the promoter region and at +6424G>T in exon 8 were significantly associated with varying serum Ficolin-2 levels and contribute towards susceptibility on many clinical infectious diseases [10]–[12]. This evidence concerns the gene FCN2 and infectious disease.
