NFKB1 and infection: We hypothesised that NF-κB p65 is involved in regulating transcription of L. monocytogenes-induced miRNAs, and to accurately demonstrate its direct role we compared BMDMs from mice in which p65 is genetically ablated (p65MYEL KO) to WT cells upon mild (MOI 1) infection with L. monocytogenes for 4 h or exposure to LPS for 4 h and 8 h.
