Four agents, that generate excellent results in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and Crohn's disease, can be considered for IM patients: (1) a mouse/human chimeric anti-TNFα monoclonal antibody termed infliximab (Remicade), (2) a TNFα-neutralizing receptor fusion protein termed etanercept (Enbrel), (3) a humanized anti-TNFα monoclonal antibody termed adalimumab (Humira), and (4) the humanized polyethyleneglycol conjugated Fab′ anti-TNFα fragment certolizumab pegol (Cimzia). Here, TNF is linked to rheumatoid arthritis.
