To elucidate if the LMP1 regulation of ATM is through the NF-κB pathway, we performed bioinformatics analysis and found that there were three putative the NF-κB binding sites in the ATM promoter region (GenBank Accession GXP_480587), which suggested a possible involvement of NF-κB in the LMP-1 mediated augment of ATM expression in NPC cells. The gene discussed is PDLIM7; the disease is nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
