Within the three cancer cell lines, the LNCaP displayed the highest expression of cyclin D1, in agreement with its critical role in the regulation of cell-cycle progression in these cells (Comstock et al, 2007) and the highest level of cyclin E1 that may be related to the role of cyclin E1 as co-activator of androgen receptor (Cifuentes et al, 2003).
