APOA4 and pancreatic neoplasm: In ROC analyses, the area under the curves for these three proteins was not significantly greater than that for CA19-9, but it is noteworthy that among the 4 cases of pancreatic cancers in which serum levels of both CEA and CA19-9 were within the reference intervals, at least one of ApoA-IV, RBP4, and GC was found to be decreased in 2 cases, suggesting that these candidate markers could be complementary to the conventional markers in diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.
