These findings are further supported by studies in RANKL and RANK deficient mice, which have a less severe bone phenotype than oc/oc, Atp6i and ClC-7 deficient mice, and accordingly have only mild changes in the hematopoietic system and show no sign of anemia [43], [ 44]; however, to fully understand these differences more detailed analyses are needed.
