Given the well established favorable outcomes for patients with anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) positive anaplastic large cell lymphomas (ALCL) [5], along with the heterogeneity in response and survival rates across PTCL subgroups, we focused our analyses on non-ALCL PTCL and performed subgroup meta-analyses on the outcomes of anthracycline-based regimens for patients with PTCL- not otherwise specified (NOS), angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AITL), natural-killer/T-cell (NK/T-cell) NHL, and enteropathy-type T-cell lymphoma (ETTL) subtypes. The gene discussed is ALK; the disease is anaplastic large cell lymphoma.
