Suzuki et al. [36] used this approach to identify 5 proteins that differentiated serum samples from melanoma patients and healthy volunteers (eukaryotic elongation factor 2 (EEF2), enolase 1 (ENO1), aldolase A (ALDOA), glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH), and heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein (HNRNP-A2B1). Here, ENO1 is linked to melanoma.
