FAP-α is a cell surface glycoprotein belonging to the serine protease family, is expressed by the CAFs in over 90% of human epithelial cancers including breast, ovarian, bladder, colorectal, and lung cancers, but it is not expressed in epithelial cancer cells, normal fibroblasts, and other normal tissues except the transient expression in healing wounds [40-45]. Here, FAP is linked to lung cancer.
