Molecules related to neuroinflammation, such as tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), IL-6, IL-1β, interferon-gamma (IFN-γ), and superoxide, have been found co-localized with microglia in brain, and in cerebrospinal fluid and serum of PD patients as well [6,7,14-22]. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and Parkinson disease.
