The proportion of CD8+Foxp3+ Tcregs was increased significantly in PBMCs from NPC patients (mean = 3.13 ± 5.04%, n = 21) as compared with healthy donors (mean = 0.8 ± 1.03%, n = 21; P < 0.05, Figure 2A), and the proportion of Tcregs in TILs (mean = 2.67 ± 3.36%, n = 21) was similar to that in PBMCs from paired NPC patients (Figure 2B). This evidence concerns the gene FOXP3 and nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
