FABP4 and type 2 diabetes mellitus: In the present study, we have shown that serum levels of both A-FABP and NT-proBNP were increased progressively and significantly after the treatment with rosiglitazone in a cohort of newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients, and have demonstrated for the first time that changes in serum levels of A-FABP were independently and positively associated with changes in NT-proBNP.
