This result is in accordance with the report on Non-small-cell lung cancer, where intratumoral Wnt5a expression significantly correlated with Ki-67 proliferation index [32], but in contrast to the study on hepatocellular carcinoma where Wnt5a has a tumor suppressing effect and loss of Wnt5a has a strong correlation with high Ki-67 proliferation index [34]. The gene discussed is WNT5A; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
