Seven subjects were missing ACE genotyping, 6 subjects were missing ACE and VDR genotyping, and 1 subject was missing data for ACE, VDR, and APOE. With the exception of CRP by APOE genotype and diabetes by VDR genotype, there were no differences in distributions of cardiovascular risk factors by genotype (Table 1). The gene discussed is APOE; the disease is diabetes mellitus.
